What is Reiki all about?

Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation that also encourages healing. It involves "laying on hands" and is predicated on the belief that an invisible "life force energy" circulates within us, which is essential for life. A low "life force energy" can make us susceptible to illness and stress, while a high level can lead to happiness and health.

The term Reiki combines two Japanese words: Rei, meaning "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power," and Ki, which stands for "life force energy." Thus, Reiki is essentially "spiritually guided life force energy."

Receiving Reiki can feel like a warm, glowing energy moving through and around you. It addresses the entire being—body, emotions, mind, and spirit—yielding numerous positive outcomes such as relaxation, and sensations of peace, security, and well-being. Remarkable results have been reported by many.

Reiki is a straightforward, natural, and secure approach to spiritual healing and self-improvement accessible to all. It has proven effective for a wide range of illnesses and conditions, always with positive effects. It complements other medical or therapeutic methods, helping to alleviate side effects and aid in recovery.

Learning Reiki is surprisingly easy. The capability to use Reiki isn't taught conventionally but is conveyed to the student in a Reiki class through an "attunement" by a Reiki master, granting them access to an infinite reserve of "life force energy" to better their health and life quality.

Reiki's practice doesn't hinge on intellectual ability or spiritual growth, making it universally accessible. It has been taught successfully to thousands across various ages and backgrounds.

Although Reiki is spiritual, it is not a religion. It lacks any dogma, and there is no requisite belief system for learning and practicing Reiki.
